Ditto Consignment!

How we started!

Ditton Consignment

Ditto was established in the summer of 2009 when Kim Wheeler joined forces with Spencer Guy and Brittany Grauberger. Spencer met Brittany when they first started working together at the eclectic store Funky Beat in 2007, they instantly formed a friendship and saw eye to eye on clothing and music. Since then, they have both gained extensive knowledge on buying and selling clothing as well as managing a store. Shortly after the close of Funky Beat (1994-2008) Kim Wheeler had the idea to start a second hand clothing store catering to beach dwellers and fashion friendly people. She was tired of outgrown clothes hanging in her teenagers' closets, many with the tags still on them and decided they could be put to good use. And she imagined plenty of other people had clothes and other items they no longer wore or wanted. Together the three created a new spot for locals in Virginia Beach to buy clothes at a fraction of retail price with a heavy focus on surf shop brands and fashion current items. Working closely with their consignors over the past two years, now nearing 600 consignors they have quickly found their niche in the market and loyal customers.
